Fei's Ph.D. student, Jianjun Yang, successfully defended his dissertation on July 25, 2011.

Current Project:

One of his current projects is on Smart Grid communications.  The goal of Smart Grid is to make the current power grid more efficient and recover from outages more quickly, to enable demand response, and to accommodate renewable and alternative energy into the grid.  His project explores networking technologies that can be used in Smart Grid, with a focus on the design and implementation of network architectures and protocols to enable effective two-way communications in Smart Grid.
